2019 Honda Passport Preview
The all-new 2019 Honda Passport has created quite a buzz since it was unveiled at this year’s Los Angeles Auto Show. This midsize 2-row SUV is slotted between the CR-V and the Pilot and features a rugged and sporty exterior design, a powerful V6 engine, and a wide array of premium features that Pine Grove drivers are sure to be thrilled with. We’re expecting the new Passport to arrive here at Klamath Falls Honda in February of 2019, so contact us to be one of the first to get behind the wheel of this exciting new Honda SUV. In the meantime, explore the performance capabilities, interior dimensions, and standard and available features of the new Passport today.
Honda Passport Engines, Horsepower & Towing Capacity
All available trim levels of the new 2019 Passport feature:
- Engine: 3.5L i-VTEC® V6
- Horsepower: 280 hp
- Torque: 262 lb-ft
- Transmission: 9-speed automatic transmission

Honda Passport vs. Honda Pilot: How Do They Compare?
How does the Passport compare to the Honda Pilot? The Passport is smaller with two rows and a 5-passenger seating capacity, as opposed to the three rows and 8-passenger capacity of the Pilot. Its smaller size makes it the more agile of the two vehicles, and with 0.8 inches more ground clearance than the Pilot, it’s the better choice if you’re planning on driving off-road. Both SUVs come with a similar list of standard features and share the same platform, engine, and transmission. As you can see, these Hondas both have a lot to offer, so choosing the one that’s best for you will just depend on your personal needs and preferences.
